Brown Material? No, not yet....
There have been several inquiries on whether or not Vanguard Belts are available in brown. There is some information on this in the FAQs on the store website, but I'd like to expand on that here.
The manufacturer of the material offers it in many colors, styles, widths, and thicknesses, as long as the buyer is willing to order in lots of 1000 feet. For now, as this is a start-up business, I have only been buying material from their sample roll offerings, which are only 50 feet and are very limited in variety. Quantities of 1000 feet are simply not financially feasible yet for Vanguard Belts unless the business revenue ramps up and the business can scale up. While the manufacturer does offer a 50' sample roll in brown, that particular model is very thin. They claim it is suitable for making everyday wear belts, but I suspect it will not be suitable for concealed carry of a holstered firearm.
Vanguard Belts placed an order today for one 50 foot sample roll of the thin brown material. Some prototype belts will be made with it to determine the thinner material's characteristics. More information (and photos) will be posted here once those prototype belts have been built.
Vanguard Belts is in its infancy at four days old, and has sold exactly ONE belt so far. If financial resources become available in the future, brown belts (of a better thickness) could become a reality and could become a regular product offering. For now, the primary 3 belt models being offered will only be available in black. The manufacturer of the material is unwilling to change up its sample size offerings (I asked), so unfortunately black is the only color offered in sufficient thickness to make a proper Vanguard Belt. Hopefully, there will be better news on this in the future!
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
